A cricket net is a practice net used by batsmen and bowlers to warm up and/or improve their cricketing techniques. Cricket nets consist of a cricket pitch (natural or artificial) which is enclosed by cricket nets on either side, to the rear and optionally the roof. The bowling end of the net is left open.
RETRACTABLE INDOOR CRICKET NETS. Having a retractable indoor cricket net is handy if the space being used for cricket practice needs to be utilised for a different sporting activity. These nets can be safely retracted back and kept out of the way when not in use, convenient for schools and college halls. The Cricket Academy has eight indoor nets, with 'SuperGrasse' playing surface. Nets can be booked for practice all year round. All nets have shock absorbers at the bowling crease to protect the bowlers from injury, in additon, the fast bowling lanes have shock absorbers from the start of the runup.
